Some Promises from God to Meditate On, Especially When You Feel Overwhelmed

God’s Word is a great source of encouragement. You may want to print these promises out and put them on cards or read the verses in their context to understand more about what God is saying in each situation. In any case, allow God’s Word to encourage you and bring you hope.

The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” – Deuteronomy 31:8

The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. – Psalm 9:9

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. – Psalm 18:2
