About Brent: Brent
was a dedicated Firefighter Paramedic for almost
fourteen years until God changed his focus to church
ministry. Brent's passion is to educate, equip,
and engage couples in their marriages and also
to help empower fathers to actively engage in their "Spiritual
Leader" role
and to not live a passive life but lead courageously
as men are designed to do. He has been working
with married couples and men for more than seven

Workshop 1 Description:
Our culture is shifting quickly. Recent studies provide
helpful insight into the impact of our culture on the family, the school, and
the church for our teens today. You'll not only have your eyes opened but also

Communicating Successfully with Teens
Workshop 2 Description: Conflict takes a huge toll on relationships
and with the continual need to say no or correct teens, relationships can be
quite strained. In this session you'll get several practical tools for communicating
successfully with your teen so that relationships are enhanced and deepened.
About Bob: Bob Dunn is the president and founder of Youth Link Ministries,
an organization committed to coaching and mentoring pastors who minister to youth
today. YLM helps train and nurture the leaders who are in the trenches working
with this generation of youth. Bob has a passion to work with students, their
parents, and their youth leaders to share successful principles to encourage
them in their faith, home and ministry. Bob Dunn is also the State Coordinator
of the National Network of Youth Ministries for Arizona. Bob has been married
for 20 years to his wife and helpmate in ministry, Mary. They have two sons
Nathan (18) and Brian (16). |

Workshop Description: It's so easy in our fast-paced society to innocently
embrace parenting ideas, practices, and goals that, in reality, are not supportive
of or mandated by our faith. The purpose of this seminar is to educate parents
of the myths that they may have innocently embraced, and free them to pursue
a parenting path more consistent with their biblical calling.
About Ron: Ron has a Bachelor and Masters degrees in Education, and
has earned an M Div in Biblical Communication. He served 19 years as Children’s
Pastor at Camelback Bible Church before transitioning to his present position.
During those 19 years Ron learned much about parenting, raising two daughters
of his own as well as observing a generation grow up at CBC. He has a passion
to see the next generations come to know the Lord and pursue his glory. Over
the years Ron has taught numerous courses on parenting and has recently been
trained as a presenter for the National Center of Biblical Parenting. |

Workshop 1 Description: The presenters will
identify the key factors to gain and maintain a successful
single-parent family. These factors include taking
great care of yourself, maintaining the best possible
relationship with your former spouse, parenting with
confidence and dating with your head and heart.
Stepparenting Two-Step
Workshop 2 Description: Effective
stepparents are in tune with the rhythms of their
family. They learn balance, when to dip (or duck),
and how to lead with grace. The stepfamily dance
is tricky, but learnable, even if you have two
left feet. This workshop will teach all the right
moves.
About Jeff and Judy: Drs.
Jeff and Judi Parziale are the Directors of InStep
Ministries, a ministry dedicated to connecting non-traditional
families to the church. Jeff is the Pastor of Family
Ministries at Pantano Christian Church and Judi is
a research methodologist and a VA-funded research
health scientist. They each brought three children
into their marriage, and 17 years later, they attest
that God is truly a God of second chances. The Parziales
are passionate about equipping families and empowering
churches.

of Children's Ministry, National Center for Biblical
Parenting, and Career Track. Her great love of children
shows through so that people know she is speaking
from her heart. Nyla is a pastor's wife and has 2
grown children and 7 grandchildren who bring her
great joy.

from 120 to nearly 3,000. Roger graduated from Ozark
Christian College and has completed post-graduate
courses at several seminaries. Pastor Storms and
his wife, Nancy have been married for 32 years. They

About Sue: Sue Lockwood
Summers is a retired elementary school library media
specialist. She is now the Director of her consulting
firm, Media
Alert! Sue speaks, writes, and consults in the
area of media literacy - the application of critical
thinking to the messages of the mass media. She is
the author of three books on this topic, and also
the co-creator of a media literacy boardgame and
a media literacy coloring book aimed at 4-8 year-olds.
Sue works with the Littleton, Colorado, non-profit
organization, PRIIME
TIIME Today, which stands for Parents Responsibly
Involved In Media Excellence and Teens Involved In
Media Excellence.

parents feel like they are “herding calves” or “shooing
baby chicks” rather than “leading lambs.” The
focus of this workshop is to inspire, encourage,
and empower parents to develop a desire to be the
shepherd of their “lambs.”
About Jan: Jan has
a B.A. in Elementary Education and is an ordained
elder in the Church of the Nazarene. She is the director
of Noah’s Ark Preschool and Kindergarten in
Mesa, and is the children’s pastor at Scottsdale
First Church of the Nazarene. Jan presents
workshops for ACSI, Church of the Nazarene and ELCA. She
has three children and six grandchildren. Her passion
is to assist families in becoming biblical and faith-integrated
by empowering, inspiring, equipping, and encouraging
parents in the faith formation of their children. |
