ParentsBecome a Parenting Coach

Parenting is the toughest job in the world. It's our desire to raise up Parenting Coaches who can equip other parents to do their difficult work. We are presently working on a curriculum to train parenting coaches. By the time you complete the course and become a Parenting Coach you'll know five essential parenting tools and you'll know how to use them with twelve most common parenting problems.

Parenting Tools

1 •  How to give instructions in a way that produces cooperation and
responsibility in children

2 •  Using a break to correct children and transfer the responsibility of
change to the child

3 •  Understanding the seven categories of consequences and how to apply them to bring about heart change

4 •  How to end every discipline time with a positive conclusion to encourage
repentance

5 •  How to emotionally connect with kids to open their hearts

12 Most Common Parenting Problems

1 •  Kids don't listen or follow instructions
2 •  Bad attitudes
3 •  Anger in kids
4 •  Blaming, justifying, and rationalizing when corrected
5 •  Lack of motivation in children
6 •  Lying
7 •  Sibling conflict
8 •  Disrespect
9 •  Kids don’t change in response to correction
10 •  Tension and resistance dominate the parent/child relationship
11 •  Poor school performance
12 •  Meanness

Although teaching about all of these subjects and tools is available now through the existing resources of the National Center for Biblical Parenting, a systemized training course is being created. Watch for the development of this new program.
