Workshop Description: Based
off of the parenting model in the book, Beyond Consequences,
Logic, and Control: A Love Based Approach to Helping
Children with Severe Behaviors, this workshop is
designed to help parents and caretakers make healthy
and loving connections with their children. When
traditional parenting techniques fail, or make it
worse, we often feel overwhelmed and hopeless. This
happens because most traditional techniques are fear-based.
Learn a new ground-breaking parenting approach that
has helped even the most difficult of family situations
find stability and healing, and be supported by parents
who understand how difficult it can be! The “Beyond
Consequences” technique has helped families
find the healing that they have been looking for
after years of “trying everything and nothing
worked.”
About Freda: Freda
Doxey is a gifted counselor and prolific speaker
who has traveled near and abroad helping families
heal by providing sound wisdom and practical biblical
principles. She holds a master degree in Biblical
Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, a master
degree in Public Administration from the University
of Missouri and a bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration from Cheyney University. Currently,
she serves as the chaplain of the Women’s National
Basketball Association (WNBA) Atlanta Dream where
she conducts weekly chapel services and Bible study
for professional women basketball players. As a licensed
professional counselor, certified parenting trainer
and owner of a private practice, she provides biblical
counseling for adolescents, family couples and individuals
with specialties in addiction, depression, women
issues and anger management. Freda has been married
for fifteen years to Pastor Gentry Doxey. They are
the proud parents of two daughters, Candace and Heavyn
Doxey.

About Molly: Molly
Evert and her husband David have been married for
19 years. They spent the first several years of marriage
serving as missionaries with Operation Mobilization.
Now they reside in Georgia, where they are members
of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Molly stays
busy writing, speaking, and homeschooling her four
boys, ages 5 to 14. Life is about to get even fuller,
as she and her family eagerly await a precious
baby girl, due in September. Molly is the creator
of My Audio School, a website which provides educational
audio content for children. She is a writer/editor
for Mentoring Moments for Christian Women and a
writer for the Georgia Home Educator’s
Association.

Kelvin uses both resources to strengthen families to receive healthier relationships. He and his wife Carol have been married for 16 years and have a 15 year old son, Clinten and an 8 year old daughter, Kailey. |

in Youth and Family Ministry for 25 years and
has mentored many young people over the years.
He helped pioneer Young Life’s Ministry to Middle School Students
called Wyld Life. Rich is a contributor to the
popular “Teen Devotional Bible” and
a consultant with various organizations, including
Military Community Youth Ministries. He received
his Masters of Theology from Fuller Theological
Seminary and is currently pursuing a D. Min. for
Youth, Family and Culture. Rich is soon to be the
father to adopted twin boys, Christian and Collin
who are 12 years old. He also runs two Christian
Martial Arts Studios. |

About Brittany: Brittany has grown up attending public school and having to deal with the real world, yet has remained a strong Christian. God gave her much favor throughout her high school years and she was able to be a positive influence to her peers. Brittany consistently led worship at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes services, had the honor of singing at her Baccalaureate and was crowned both prom queen and homecoming queen by her 2009 Senior Class consisting of over 600 students at Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama. Brittany, age 18, currently leads worship, speaks to young girls and teenagers about purity and passion for God and is pursuing a career as a recording artist. |

About Diane: Diane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocational Home Economics Education with a specialty in Child Development from West Virginia University, with graduate work from Pennsylvania State University. She is married to Don Snyder and has two grown children. A member of Wildwood since 1984, Diane taught and directed the Preschool Sunday School department. She also taught Weekday Preschool for 11 years prior to establishing and opening Wildwood Baptist Preschool in 1995. She has served as Director since that time. She is active in the North Cobb/Cherokee Preschool Directors' Association, National Association for the Education of Young Children and serves as the Training Committee Chair for Georgia Preschool Association, facilitating an annual conference for Preschool teachers from across the state since 1999. She also belongs to the Northwest Georgia United Methodist Preschool Directors' Association and the West Cobb Preschool Directors' Association. |

About Chris: Chris began his walk with Christ
during the summer between his 11th and 12th grade
year of high school. Soon after, he sensed a calling
into full time youth ministry. Chris has been involved
in youth ministry for 20 years. He now serves as
the Middle School Minister at Johnson Ferry Baptist
Church. He is passionate about helping middle school
students understand that they can know and serve
God in a big way. Chris holds a Masters of Divinity
from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary
and a Bachelors degree in religion from the University
of Mobile. He is married to Wendy and together
they have a ten-year-old son named Dillon and six-year-old
